Improving the Gospel: Exercises in Unbiblical Theology

Often people attempt to improve the gospel, but in doing so they lose it. It is the pastor’s obligation to clearly define and explain the gospel. Mark Dever, at the 2008, "Together for the Gospel" conference, presents five common “cries” which seek to improve the gospel, but rather threaten it. The gospel is full and needs no addition and to add to it is to reduce it.
